Shivansi Sharma, M.Ed., Resident in Counseling

Psychotherapist

Shivansi believes that therapy should feel like a safe and welcoming space where you
don’t have to carry everything on your own. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they
learn new ways to cope, heal, and feel more grounded in their everyday lives.

She is passionate about helping people build healthier relationships with themselves and those
around them, while also finding hope and confidence in their own strengths. She understands how family dynamics, cultural expectations, and life changes can deeply shape the way we see ourselves. With experience supporting teens and adults, Shivansi has worked with individuals navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, big life transitions, and relationship struggles.

Shivansi earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), always adapting her approach to fit each person’s unique needs. She focuses on practical tools that support emotional regulation, boundary setting, and self-compassion. She also incorporates a somatic approach, helping clients connect with their bodies to release stored stress and better regulate their nervous systems.

At the heart of her work is the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Shivansi strives to create a caring, non-judgmental environment where clients can take steps toward healing and personal growth at their own pace.

Since joining Total Health Concepts, Shivansi has grown in her experience supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She integrates psychotherapy and holistic therapeutic frameworks to foster resilience, healing, and lasting well-being.

Shivansi sees Virginia, Maryland and Florida clients virtually. She sees Virginia and Maryland clients in-person in Vienna, VA.
