Michael received a Master’s in Counselor Education from Florida Atlantic University and is currently working towards LPC Licensure, he holds the NCC credential, and is trained in EMDR. He brings a wealth of experience in addressing a range of issues, including addiction and co-occurring disorders, as well as working with children and adults facing challenges such as autism, depression, and anxiety. His diverse background equips him with the skills necessary to support individuals from various walks of life.
Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices, Michael focuses on helping clients identify distorted thinking patterns, challenge negative self-talk, and reframe their thoughts and behaviors. He adopts a Person-Centered, non-directive approach, believing that individuals are the experts of their own lives. This philosophy empowers clients to take charge of their healing journeys, fostering a sense of agency and self-discovery.
Michael works with couples, adults, children, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and addiction. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, and EMDR, Michael aims to help individuals identify distorted thinking, reframe negative self-talk, and empower clients to live a life that is meaningful to them regardless of their current circumstances.
Since joining Total Health Concepts, Michael has grown in his experience supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. He integrates psychotherapy and holistic therapeutic frameworks to foster resilience, healing, and lasting well-being.
Michael sees clients in Virginia, Maryland and Florida virtually. He is able to see some Florida clients in-person in Naples, FL.
