Rachel Jahelka, MSW, Supervisee in Social Work
Psychotherapist
Rachel works with women ages 15 and up from all walks of life, helping them navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their true selves. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounds, people-pleasing, eating disorders, relationship struggles, body image or self-esteem concerns, and grief. She understands how heavy life can feel and how overwhelming it can be when someone doesn’t know where to turn. Her goal is to offer a compassionate, grounding space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported.
Using trauma-informed care-alongside CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-Rachel supports clients not only in processing emotions and exploring past experiences but also in building self-trust, strengthening communication and assertiveness, reducing perfectionism, setting healthy boundaries, cultivating self-compassion, and reconnecting with their identity, values, and sense of self. She meets each person exactly where they are and guides them at a pace that feels safe and aligned.
Rachel’s work is deeply rooted in a whole-body, holistic approach. She believes emotional health is influenced by lifestyle rhythms, stress levels, movement patterns, sleep, nutrition awareness, and the overall mind–body connection. She helps women understand how their bodies and minds communicate, including the impact of hormones on mood, the importance of nervous system regulation, and the value of somatic awareness.
Whether someone is navigating a life transition, burnout, relationship patterns, past trauma, or loss, Rachel provides steady, compassionate support to help them find clarity, confidence, and a deeper connection to themselves.
Virtual sessions are available for women in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida.
