Zaria Hardy, M.Ed., Resident in Counseling

Psychotherapist

Zaria is passionate about creating a brave space where her clients can take emotional risks, explore the origins of their inner conflicts, and develop the tools necessary to build meaningful relationships with others and themselves. She walks alongside her clients on their healing journeys, offering support as they become active participants in their own growth. Zaria emphasizes meeting clients where they are, creating a nonjudgmental and empowering environment.

With a multicultural and systems-oriented perspective, Zaria collaborates with clients to examine how societal expectations and messages influence their lives. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The College of William and Mary. Her experience spans working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, divorce, and relationship repair.

Zaria draws from several therapeutic approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care. She tailors her approach to the unique needs of each client, ensuring that the therapeutic process is personalized and relevant.

At the core of Zaria’s work is the belief that therapy is most effective when trust and safety are established. She works collaboratively with her clients to build a healthy, trusting relationship, offering empathy, validation, and gentle challenges to foster growth and transformation.
