Cynthia Libby, RDN

Registered Dietician

Cynthia Libby is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist dedicated to helping individuals repair their relationships with food, body image, and movement. With years of experience treating adolescents and adults, Cynthia specializes in addressing disordered eating, body image issues, and co-occurring mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Her compassionate, client-centered approach fosters a healing environment where individuals can explore and redefine their relationship with food, away from the influence of diet culture.

Cynthia takes a particular interest in helping clients shift their mindset around movement. Rather than approaching exercise from a place of obligation, she encourages the incorporation of joyful, sustainable physical activities that promote well-being. Cynthia has worked extensively in residential treatment and partial hospitalization programs (PHP), supporting clients with complex needs. A firm advocate of the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy, she takes a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to nutrition. Her goal is to empower clients to establish a balanced and healthy relationship with food—one that is free of judgment, guilt, or rigid rules. Cynthia is also a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), continuing her commitment to ongoing education and advocacy in the field.

With a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a minor in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, Cynthia also holds a master’s degree in Nutrition. Her career has been deeply focused on eating disorders and related mental health concerns, but she welcomes anyone seeking to break free from restrictive eating patterns and build a more positive, fulfilling relationship with food and their body.
