Elena holds a Master's in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing her LCSW licensure. With a diverse range of experiences, she has worked with children, adolescents, and families from various backgrounds, as well as with adults facing substance use disorders. Her professional journey includes roles in Child Protective Services, work with incarcerated individuals, and support for the homeless population. She has also facilitated parenting classes and addressed comorbid psychological and intellectual disorders.
In her therapeutic practice, Elena employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She believes that the power to change lies within the client and emphasizes encouragement and guidance as they navigate their individual paths.
